Ride Description: The bottom 5 miles of Neels Gap in Haawassee, Georgia. A Category 2 climb that was part of the 2005 Tour De Georgia. Rode up about 3 miles, got pounded by a Thunderstorm and then stopped to await the Tour riders to come by.
Riding partners: Jim Mahaney for a short period and then solo as Jim rode away from me =)
Thought(s) of the day: This is the difference between a hill and a mountain. Michigan has Hills – Georgia has Mountains!

The 2005 Season begins… Last year’s goal was simply “To Ride and to enjoy it”. That goal was met with just under 1400 miles logged.
This year’s goal will be to break the 2000 mile mark.
