Thought(s) of the day: Ride was good. Not as good as las tMonday but still a great ride. Beginning next Monday the ride will move to 6:00pm versus the normal 6:30pm.

Thought(s) of the day: I felt pretty so so (as in bad) today and thought the ride was going to be really rough but I actually had a great ride tonight and felt extremely strong. Held my own up the 2 hills on 136th avenue – hills I normally struggle on.

Ride Description: BANG Tour 2006.
Riding Partners: Group of 12 from MCC went north to Muskegon area for the tour. Weather was chilly starting at 52 degrees went we left and reached 61 degrees by the end of the ride.
Thought(s) of the day: A nice ride but attendance was hurt by the cloudy and cold weather. Still haven’t done anything on the extremely rough road coming back around Duck Lake and they removed Block House Hill from the 62 mile route this year. I might opt for the Paw Paw ride next year in place of this one.
This week I skipped my Tuesday and Thursday night rides to perform some much needed maintenance on my road bike.
-Front and Rear Wheels Trued (by Ted and Lee at Velo City)
-Applied Locktite Blue to spoke nipples after getting them back from bike shop.
-Replaced front brake pads
-Tore down drivetrain and cleaned all drivetrain components
-Removed TREK decal on Top Tube
-Removed TREK decals on fork blades
-Removed USPS decal from Seat Stay
-Replaced both tires with new Conti 4000
Road tested after re-assembly.

Ride Description: MCC Monday Night ride taking place in the morning because it fell on the Labor day holiday. We also added 4 miles to the loop by going around Hutchins lake. Went to JP’s after the ride for Coffee with Mike and Jeremy.
Riding Partners: Group of 14 that hung together. Marci M., Mike M., Ed ?, Randy (the other Randy), Skip, Jaskers (John and Janet), Kirk ?, Mark, and few whose name I don’t yet know.

Ride Description: East through Dorr, around to Middleville and South east to Gun Lake/Yankee Springs and home through Fennville – Douglas – Saugatuck.
Riding Partners: Leon Slikker, Mike Mortoff, and Tom Nowak joined Jim (Mahaney) and myself for the first 25 miles and then they turned off and Jim and I continued on the long trek.
Thought(s) of the day: Got the long ride in. Beginning went well but struggled a little bit after lunch right around the 75 mile mark. I then recovered and had a pretty good ride into Fennville… but got a headache on the final strech.
