Thought of the day: Single worst ride on a bike in 6/7 years riding. Could not stay in contact with group no matter how hard I tried. Legs were like Jello. Makes we wonder if my recent health woes run deeper than I (or the doctor) think they do. Yes I’m out of shape but not that badly out of shape.

Ride Description: South to Blue Star. Blue Star to M89. M89 to Lakeshore. Lakeshore to that tiny party store ini Ganges. Headed back and cut east riding up 66th and then over and through Douglas and Saugatuck.
Riding Partners: On the way down I was with Mike Mortoff, Jim Mahaney and Leon Slikkers. At the mid way point we ran into a group and then rode picked up Tom Novak and Dan Wilson.
Thought(s) of the day: A bit disappointed in the the avg speed at the end of the ride but it was really all I could muster today. The warmest day so far this year. Really gorgeous out and a great morning for a ride. The company was great and got to meet most of the crew that I will ride RAGBRAI with in July. The rest of the week should be interesting if the weather holds out with rides planned on Monday, Tuesday, and possibly Thursday and Saturday.
