Thought of the day: My first sprint ride. I was told it was a pretty conservative sprint ride but at least I didn’t get dropped. 
This is an interesting ride. We had a group of around 25 riders and it is truly every man for himself. There was no order to the group that I could see. Certainly nobody was taking turns pulling or rotating through.
It was nice to then head south to meet Tom, Dan, and Dick. Going East into Hamilton was a bear but I recovered ok.
Mental notes on average speeds. 17.1 from my house to Velo City – warm up. 19.9 at Grafscaap Rd at the end of the Sprint Ride. 19.8 at our stop for Coffee at Java Hut at Waverly and 40th. 19.8 when I got back home.
