I met my former spouse and her parents at Hannah’s Christmas Choir concert this evening. The entire concert was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S… Hannah you did such an awesome job! Congratulations Princess!
Last year at this time things were much different and quite frankly I didn’t know what to expect this year… but then it happened… during the end of the 8th grade Choirs set they asked us all to join in the singing of Silent Night and that special shiver one gets up and down the spine when you really connect with something occurred. Christmas is back and in a BIG way!
Merry Christmas!

This past week was vacation at home week with the kids. We had grand plans for the week but in the end the activities got paired down to Michigan’s Adventure and the Great Garage sale of 2008 that took most of the week preparing for and two days for the actual sale.

Hannah took part in her first Middle School Youth ministry event with our Church last weekend. 6th grade is the big year where the kids transition from the Children’s Ministry to the Youth Ministry programs. The Camp-in event houses the kids inside the Church at night. The girls in “The Forest” where Gems is held and the boys stay in the Youth center.
The event is packed full of activities and is the kick-off event for the fall Youth program. Hannah had a blast is already talking about next years event. Unfortunately, I sent Hannah off without the digital camera so I don’t have any pictures to post to the site.
The agenda is below and you can get a feel for the good time that was had by all. Noah and I joined Hannah for a Potluck dinner on Saturday afternoon as the event came to a close.

The kids and I attended an afternoon outing at the Critter Barn sponsored by our Church. Bring the whole family for only 5 bucks! A great deal and a great time!

Hannah had a great time. Noah wasn’t so sure at first but appeared to be enjoying himself by the end of the afternoon.

We’ve been trying to make sure that we spend time doing activities together. Family fun time as we call it. Just before Hannah’s Slumber party we purchased a new Trampoline for Hannah and Noah. Our previous trampoline is over at the kids Mom’s house and they missed having it here as well.
For the last 4 nights in a row we’ve all ventured out there together and bounced on the trampoline from 15 minutes to over an hour depending on the evening, the heat, our collective moodsm etc. It has been a lot of fun bouncing them high into the air. At first the kids didn’t understand the concept of a ‘double bounce’ but they quickly learned as I flung them high into the air. They’ve caught on so quickly that they can now double bounce me high into the air… guess I am too light afterall
The trampoline has been great fun for us all!
